{AAM Challenge #9} This makes me Angry!

Hi Lovely Ladies! It's Arlene here, bringing on the very 1st challenge of the new year. I'm so very excited about it because this one can be a bit tougher than usual, but it is most certainly do-able!

here are some quotes I thought may be helpful:

"Speak when you are angry, and you'll make the best speech you'll ever regret"
-Dr. Laurence J. Peter

and

"For every minute you are angry, you lose sixty seconds of happiness."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

You know, everyone has that one thing (or 2 or 3, LOL) that pushes their buttons and makes them down right angry. It could be someone who cuts you off on the road, (as a new driver, I experience this A LOT) it could be something as serious as violence, hatred, racism. When this topic was up for choosing, I picked it with a very angry subject in mind and had it all mapped out to scrap it in angry colors to make more of a statement. But as time to complete it came closer and closer I had a change of heart...and decided to do something that still angers me, but that is something that mostly every mom can relate to: A messy room!

SO, curious to see what fabulous-ness has been created for this challenge? I'm pretty sure you are ready!!! For close ups and more details, go and visit the DT's blogs.

I am proud to present you all with this month's Guest designers! Please join me in welcoming them.

Namaste! I started out with traditional scrapbooking, but am now totally hooked on digital. But my craft stash does call me now and then! I am mama to my two girls, Isara (7) and Tamra (4). My best friend is my husband, Trevis and he feeds my digital creative habit! All About Me has been a great place to share and care more of me, without feeling guilty (come on! you all know what i mean!) It's a safe place to place me first...we all need that! You can also find me creating at It Takes All Kinds, and serving as part of the Baker's Dozen Digital Team over at Shimelle.com and also at my personal blog, scrapyoga.typepad.com and charmingbirdie.wordpress.com. It's an honor to serve as a guest designer this month at AAM!! See more of you here!!!

I started scrapbooking when I was a teenager, and now it is a bit of an obsession. I also love to make cards and altered art. I have a very understanding and wonderful husband, a three-year-old son and a great career in print production. Things are pretty good...
I founded the sketch challenge called Sketchy Thursdays and run the blog along with my friend, Heidi.
I can be found on the design teams for Scrapbook Circle kit club, A Scrappy Design, Get Meaningful and If The Shoe Fits... Scrap It! I've had work published online and in e-zines, and I run my own card making and freelance graphic design business called Design by Diana.
You can find more of my work on my blog at http://designbydiana.blogspot.com.

Of course, this month's fabulous sketch was made by Diana! Take a look:

I really cannot wait to see what you all come up with for this challenge! As always, please use Mr. Linky  to link up your creations for this challenge for a chance to win an awesome prize from this month's sponsor.  More information will be coming soon about that prize!  Also, come and join us over at the new message board, there's a link on the side bar. We'd love to hear what you think about the challenges and get to know you a bit better. Happy scrapping!!!

Great interpretations of this challenge. I love all the layouts especially Helen's because of the stitched lines and small stars that seem to add emphasis to the emotion. Great job ladies!

This is my first time on this blog and entering one of its challenges! Great idea for scrapbook challenges!! I can't wait for more! I'll need to go back and see what I've missed.

Anyway, I kept my LO kind of simple because of the subject matter. Good luck to all!

I apologise for not using the sketch - I hope you don't mind -I really enjoyed this challenge as I don't often scrap about myself but I will be following your challenges from now on so that I do actually feature in Lo's now and again :-)Thanks

Great layouts all!!! You never have to use the sketch if you don't want to. It's just there as added inspiration. We know some people, myself included, do like to use them as a jumping off point. Angela, it looks like you used Mr. Linky just fine! I can see your layout. :)
